Vintage Sterling China Gold Overlay Cup and Saucer ~ made in Japan ~ Rare

Description

This vintage cup and saucer were made in Japan by Sterling China in what I believe to be the 1960s.  It has a background of white with a gold overlay floral pattern.
There is a gold band trim around the rim and base of the teacup and it has a gold handle. The saucer has a
gold rose in the center and gold trim around the rim.
"Sterling China Japan" blue paper stickers are on base.
Measurements:
Cup is 2” tall with a diameter of 2 ½”…
Saucer is 4 ½” across…
These pieces are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips.
