The Dulevsky porcelain Factory was founded in 1832 by Terentiy Kuznetsov, a native of Gzhel, who conceived the idea of establishing mass production of porcelain. And after 20 years, he made the plant a leading enterprise in Russia. The porcelain of the factory was distinguished by a noble simplicity - a dazzling whiteness was combined with a magnificent gilding and a uniform, rich luster of glaze. But for the successful sale of dishes, a different painting was required - a brighter, catchy one. Therefore, the emphasis was placed on originality, folk art, national characteristics and traditions, resulting in the unique Dulevsky style - "agashki". From these simple-minded agashek and rozanov, from the people's letter on ceramics, all the Dulev drawings went, in them - the soul of the Dulev porcelain factory. The plant received the greatest development under the management of Matvey Kuznetsov, who created a Partnership for the Production of porcelain and faience products. The plant's workshops were equipped with new equipment from France.
In 1902, M. S. Kuznetsov was included in the honorary list of suppliers of the Imperial Court. To implement his ideas, he invited famous artists to work, including the famous Russian artist M. A. Vrubel.
In 1918, the plant was nationalized. In the first years of Soviet power, all efforts were directed to the restoration and further development of production facilities. But peaceful, creative work was crossed out by the Great Patriotic War, during which all the work was carried out for the front and for Victory. In the post-war period, in 1950, the plant reached the pre-war level in terms of production . In addition to mass-produced porcelain, the factory created masterpieces of Russian porcelain. During this era, such famous artists as Pyotr Vasilyevich Leonov, Ivan Grigoryevich Konkov, A. I. Prokhorov, and F. F. Korovin worked in the unique workshop of the art laboratory factory.Maslov, Vladimir Klimentyevich Yasnetsov, S. G. Anikin, S. E. Medvedev, sculptors Alexey Georgievich Sotnikov, Pavel Mikhailovich Kozhin, Asta Davydovna Brzhezitskaya, Olga Mikhailovna Bogdanova, Nina Aleksandrovna Malysheva, Galina Dmitrievna Chechulina, Evgenia Ilinichna Gatilova. The works of factory sculptors and artists adorn the museums and art galleries of the country, are in demand among collectors around the world. The products of the factory's craftsmen were awarded numerous prizes and awards. A. G. Sotnikov's sculpture "Falcon", which received the Grand Prix medal in 1958 at the World Exhibition in Brussels, became a symbol of the Dulevsky Porcelain Factory, and its graphic image became the trademark of the enterprise. In 1976, the plant was awarded the Order of Lenin for outstanding achievements in the development of the porcelain industry.
