Oscar Robertson (1938): Any conversation about the greatest basketball players ever should include Big O. He was the first pick in the 1960 NBA Draft, winning Rookie of the Year in his debut season. He proceeded to make 12 straight All-Star appearances, winning MVP in 1963. Robertson also finished Top 5 in MVP voting nine times, averaging 25.7 points, 7.5 rebounds and 9.5 assists throughout his 14-year career. Robertson even averaged a triple-double at one point in his career. He won a championship with the Milwaukee Bucks in 1971 and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1980.
Dave Bing (1943): Bing was the second overall pick in the 1966 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons. He took down Rookie of the Year in a remarkable debut season, making an All-Star appearance in six of his final eight seasons with the Pistons. Bing made his final All-Star appearance in his first season with the Washington Bullets in 1975 and retired in 1978 after one season with the Boston Celtics. He led the league in scoring in 1967 and also took down All-Star MVP in 1975. He was inducted into the Hall-of-Fame in 1990.
Rudy Tomjanovich (1948): Rudy T was an incredible player and an extremely accomplished coach as well. It all started when he was selected second overall in the 1970 NBA Draft by the San Diego Rockets. He really broke out in 1973, making five All-Star appearances over the next six seasons. Tomjanovich retired from playing in 1981, averaging 17.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per game. He started his coaching career as an assistant in Houston in 1983 and became their head coach in 1991. Rudy T won back-to-back championships in 1993 and 1994 with the Rockets and retired from coaching in 2005. All of that earned Tomjanovich a Hall of Fame induction as a coach in 2020.
